Charlotte Commercial Locksmith

Commercial Locksmith in Charlotte for Storefronts, Offices, and Property Managers

Most of our week is commercial door work: storefront locks, office rekeys after an employee leaves, push bars that stopped latching. Single locations call us for one repair. Property managers and HOAs keep us on contract for the whole portfolio.

The Hardware We Handle Every Week

Commercial doors fail in ways house doors never do. The push bar on a back exit stops latching and the door swings open behind the store. A door closer loses tension and the front door slams, or refuses to shut at all. Aluminum storefront doors run on narrow-stile hardware that no residential lock can replace. All of it is routine work for us.

Exit devices and panic bars get repaired or replaced to NC fire code, so the door stays legal as an emergency exit while staying locked from outside. Door closers get adjusted when they can be saved and swapped when they can't. On storefront glass and aluminum doors we service the mortise cylinders, hook latches, and pivots that keep them running. And when an office loses an employee, we rekey the affected doors so the old key stops mattering.

Storefronts and Single Locations Too

Contract clients get portfolio terms, but a lot of our commercial work is one storefront with one problem: a back door that won't latch, a front door lock on its last legs, a key that left with a former employee. You don't need a contract for that. Call, and we handle it the same day when the schedule allows.

Commercial doors are their own trade. Exit devices and panic bars have to meet NC fire code, storefront doors take different hardware than a house door, and a multi-tenant building needs a key plan, not a pile of random cylinders. We install Grade-1 commercial hardware, design master key systems so management holds one key while each tenant holds their own, and rekey doors the day an employee leaves.

The national chains in the list above came to us the same way local shops do: one job done right, then the next one. References available on request, along with the COI and W-9 your vendor onboarding asks for.

From the Job Log

Recent Commercial Jobs

A few entries from this summer's log. Office door locks replaced at a discount store in Charlotte. A suite on Gilead Road in Huntersville rekeyed, with key copies cut on site. A commercial suite on Sardis Road North opened after a lockout, then fitted with a new lock while we were there. A business door unlocked on Sam Newell Road in Matthews.

The national chains from the list above also dispatch us outside the metro. This summer the log shows a push bar brought back to latching on a store's back door near Winston-Salem, a door closer job in Apex, and a hinge repair in Fayetteville. Facility-management companies keep one vendor they trust and send the tickets where the stores are.

FAQ

Commercial Locksmith Questions

Both. Portfolio clients get contract terms, but plenty of our work is a single storefront that needs a lock changed or a door that won't latch. Call and we'll take care of it.

Yes. All our commercial lock work follows North Carolina fire code requirements. Emergency exits, panic bars, and exit hardware get installed to NC building and fire safety standards, so an inspection never catches you off guard.

Rekey the affected doors. It's faster and cheaper than replacing locks, and it makes every old key useless. If turnover is a regular problem, a master key system or keypad locks cut the cost of each departure.

Yes. Certificate of Insurance, W-9, and NC license #2955 are on file and ready to send to your accounting or compliance team the same day you ask.

Business hours are Mon–Sun 8:00am – 10:00pm. Contract clients can arrange emergency coverage outside those hours by agreement, set up in advance, so when a late-night call happens there's no negotiation, just dispatch.

Yes. Exit devices and panic bars are regular work for us, and so are door closers. Repairs follow NC fire code, which keeps the door legal as an emergency exit and locked from the outside. Most of these are same-day visits when the calendar has room.

Reviews

From Business Customers

★★★★★

"I needed the locks changed on my business ASAP. I messaged SOS and had a response within minutes, and service scheduled less than 24 hours later in under 5 minutes. Not only was I impressed by their responsiveness but they were punctual and arrived right at our scheduled time. The locksmith explained all the options in detail with consideration of budget, and completed the job within an hour without interrupting business operations. I was expecting some kind of charge for an emergent service and was pleasantly surprised there was no such thing. Prices are fair and reasonable. Highly recommend SOS Locksmith."
