Locksmith Services in Concord, NC
Concord sends us more work than any other town in Cabarrus County. Some of it is a front door that won't open or won't latch. Just as often it is a business with a broken lock on a cash drawer, a staff door that stopped closing, or an exit alarm that needs a new key.
Serving ZIP codes: 28025, 28026, 28027
Lockouts, Latches, Cabinet Locks and Store Doors
Those four cover nearly everything Concord has called us about since June. Each card names a street or a kind of business from our log.
Lockouts Around Concord
The most recent was on Derita Road on October 5. Central Drive NW came before it in late August, Spears Drive NW in July, and one June call was a storage unit rather than a front door. Expect us to ask for ID or a piece of mail before we open anything.
Lockout service →New Locks and Doors That Won't Latch
On Parkway Avenue we installed a new lock in July. On Astoria Lane NW in late September nothing needed replacing: the whole job was a strike plate adjustment. We look at the door before we sell you hardware.
Installation and repair →Cash Drawer and Cam Locks
A Concord pizza restaurant called in June about the broken lock on its cash register cabinet, and again in August about a cam lock. A drawer lock is a small part, but on the cabinet that holds the register cash it is a real service call.
Business locks →Commercial Store and Staff Doors
A discount store's exit alarm got a rekeyed cylinder in July. An off-price retailer needed a new thumb turn in August, and in September we put a staff entrance closer back in order at a local business. The latest was a lock replacement at another discount store on October 2.
Commercial locksmith work →When the Lock on the Cash Drawer Breaks
Not every Concord business call is about a door. On June 23 a pizza restaurant in town called because the lock on its cash register cabinet had broken. We looked it over that day, came back on June 30, repaired the cabinet and replaced the lock with a new one. In August the same restaurant called about a cam lock, and a new one was installed on August 8.
A cam lock is the small cylinder lock on cash drawers, cabinets, lockers and display cases. Turning the key swings a flat metal arm, the cam, behind the panel, and that arm is what holds the drawer shut. The parts are small, but they come in different cylinder lengths and cam shapes, and the replacement has to match both or the drawer will not stay closed.
If a drawer or cabinet lock fails at your business, send a photo of the lock face and measure how thick the panel is. That helps us bring a match on the first trip. When the wood or metal around the lock is damaged, as the cabinet at the restaurant was, we repair that first so the new lock has something solid to hold.
Concord Calls, June Through October
Several of this year's house calls were on the northwest side of town. Spears Drive NW was a lockout in July, and Central Drive NW was another at the end of August. On Astoria Lane NW in late September the job was a strike plate adjustment: the strike is the metal plate on the frame that the latch and bolt slide into. In July we also fitted a new lock on Parkway Avenue, and the newest lockout in Concord was on Derita Road on October 5. Next door in Harrisburg, we installed a smart lock on Lotus Drive in July.
The business side of the log is busier. A discount store had the key cylinder in its exit alarm rekeyed in mid-July and its restroom locks seen to the following week. An off-price retailer needed a new thumb turn on August 5. On September 1 a Concord business called because the closer on its staff entrance had come loose, and the photos below show it before and after we reattached and adjusted it. Eight days later we were back at the same place to adjust the hinges on three rooms, take a closer off one door and repair the staff restroom door. The latest commercial ticket was a lock replacement at a discount store on October 2.
Most of those store tickets were dispatched to us by the facility companies that maintain national chains. That work brings our technicians to Concord regularly, and if one is already nearby on the day you call, you'll hear that on the phone.

What Concord Customers Ask Before Booking
Plan on roughly twenty-five minutes on I-85 from Charlotte in normal traffic. If one of our technicians is finishing a store job in the area, the wait can be shorter, and you get a real arrival window on the phone either way.
Yes. One of our June calls in Concord was a storage unit lockout. Have your ID ready, plus the rental agreement if you have it, because we confirm the unit is yours before we open it.
Not always. A latch that stops catching is frequently just out of line with the strike plate on the frame. On Astoria Lane NW in late September the whole job was a strike plate adjustment, with no new hardware. If the latch itself is worn out, we will tell you that instead.
A pizza restaurant in Concord is the latest example. Its cash register cabinet was repaired and the lock replaced in June, and a new cam lock went in that August. A photo of the lock face helps us bring a matching cylinder.
Rekey every exterior lock. During the build, keys circulate among contractors and subcontractors. Rekeying retires all of those keys at once, for a fraction of the cost of new hardware.
Harrisburg is part of the same drive. In July we installed a smart lock on Lotus Drive there, and in August we fitted a door sweep at a restaurant in town.
We'll get back to you within 15 minutes during business hours.
